Bart Oomes
Bart Oomes photographs and directs fashion accessories, beauty, food, animals, and everything else as long as it doesn’t talk. His almost abstract stills force the viewer to a closer observation. Bart examines his objects carefully until he has a different perspective than an obvious one. Bart ignores the logic and organizes the most ordinary objects in such a way that a new side is exposed. In his photographs or videos, the pure form, texture and color of the subject become more important than the thing itself. His fascination of the out of place of disruption is a big motive in his work.
